Sunday Morning Worship Service
This week at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, we explored the powerful story found in the Gospel of Luke 5:17–26: “Experiencing His Power By Any Means Necessary.”
In this passage, four determined men carried their paralyzed friend to Jesus, believing that healing was possible. When the crowd blocked their access, they refused to give up. Instead, they climbed to the rooftop, broke through the ceiling, and lowered their friend directly into the presence of Jesus.
Their faith teaches us that breakthrough often requires persistence, determination, and the willingness to push past obstacles. Sometimes the greatest miracles happen when we refuse to let barriers, fear, doubt, or inconvenience stop us from pursuing God’s power.
This message reminded us that faith is not passive, it presses forward even when the way is difficult.
May this word encourage you to keep seeking, keep believing, and keep pressing forward, knowing that God still responds to bold faith.
