Sunday Morning Worship Service
This week at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, we reflected on the powerful encounter found in Gospel of Luke 24:13–35: “Who Is That Beside You?”
As two disciples walked the road to Emmaus discouraged and confused after the crucifixion, Jesus joined them on their journey, but they did not recognize Him. In the middle of their disappointment, grief, and unanswered questions, the very presence they needed was already walking beside them.
This message challenged us to consider how often God is present in our lives even when we fail to recognize Him. Through difficult seasons, uncertain transitions, and moments of frustration, God continues to walk with us, guide us, and reveal Himself in unexpected ways.
Sometimes the answer we are searching for is already closer than we realize.
May this message encourage you to remain open to God’s presence, even in moments when the path ahead feels unclear.
